My first roadtrip in the new normal to some of the most beautiful places in Davao Region is something I will definitely keep in my memory. Why? Because it is my first travel outside of Davao City after 3 months of being stuck but safe at home following the nation’s enhanced community quarantine. I visited three Davao Provinces – Davao Del Norte, Davao De Oro and Davao Oriental – for 4 days and 3 nights and enjoyed the place like a first timer.
But what made this trip more memorable is the fact that I had the chance to use and drive FORD RANGER RAPTOR for the whole duration of my stay. I am sooooo impressed with FORD RAPTOR that I even give the vehicle a nickname: RapRap, my Raptor Travel Bud.
I have driven pick up trucks before but driving Raptor for the first time is different. It is huge, so masculine, so big but never difficult to use. It is a monster but a beautiful monster. I love the interiors and everything is almost electronic. Indeed it is designed for so much convenience. I would say extra-ordinary if not superb features. Driving it is like a Boss! I am driving a beast because of its awesome and intimidating look but it’s actually a gentle beast. I’m soooo impressed.
The trip to Tagum City, Davao Del Norte down Pantukan, Davao De Oro was incredible. I was smiling the whole time. It felt like I was travelling for the first time in soooo many years. Ikaw ba naman makulong ng tatlong buwan. Hahaha. The ride was sooooo smooth. I can’t even feel the bumpy roads. Walang alog-alog. Walang tagtag! True enough, it is called the OFF-ROAD WARRIOR. Its suspension system is powered by FOX Shocks designed to tackle even the bumpy and tough terrain. Poweeeerrrr! Driving Tagum and Pantukan was made sooo smooth and easy!
From Tagum and Pantukan, next destination was the City of Mati, the capital of Davao Oriental. Mati is known for its white sand beaches, surfing spots and other natural wonders. Going to Mati, the ride along Badas Road is something I always look forward to everytime I visit the City. Badas is known for its long and winding road. Parang bituka! Driving here with Raptor was mind boggling! Sarap maneuver ang steering wheel. Sooooo smooth, sooooo easy to turn left or right. If you look at Raptor’s Built, one would say it’s not easy to maneuver, but surprisingly it is very easy, smooth and swabeng swabe. This is all because Raptor is powered by EPAS or the Electrical Powered Assisting Steering making balanced, smooth and relaxed driving.
My weekend roadtip to Davao Region in the new normal was a breather for me. It was a break from the monotonous life I had for 3 months. It was great way to breathe fresh air and see and feel the nature again. Above all, it reconnects me my love for travels. Thanks to Ford Ranger Raptor, for making this trip more fun, exciting and memorable. I miss Raprap now. I want to see him again on my next trip.
For travellers, this gentle beast is highly recommended!

By the way, when we travel and visit destinations now open in the new normal, it is a must that we follow the new normal health standards, guidelines and protocol. In short, magcomply tayo sa batas para tayo ay makalabas.
